BS5852 In Brief BS5852 1990 Ignition source 5 is the British Standard Method of Testing the ignitability of upholstered & leather restaurant seating by smouldering and flaming ignition sources. Fabrics and foams we provide have all passed this test to the standard referred to as Crib 5. Crib 5 is one of the test ignition sources used for furniture and furnishings.

Tests are carried out on behalf of manufacturers by companies such as West Yorkshire Materials testing service and certificates issued in accordance with their findings. Where requested LAYTRAD will obtain fire certificates from the furniture manufacturer on behalf of their customers. | |
