The BV Bullo V851 is a great looking open backed bar stool designed by Roberto Foschia. You get a solid lacquered metal frame with a polyethylene seat.

Rather than stressing you out why not relax and have at least a little bit of fun making your choices.Some materials do better outside than others but really overall plastic requires the least amount of maintenance but in actuality has the shortest life span too outside because over time the strength of the plastic deteriorates. Wood will also last although you’ll likely have to apply a fresh coat of UV protection each season. Metal does well too but you will need to watch for the breakdown of the lacquer as this is what protects the metals from rusting or discoloring.
